Shape OPX-ZARATE

PURPOSE, Finishing materials retailers live and die by the quality of the sales conversation. The project aimed to give Zarate a digit al tool that could turn hesitant visitors into confident buyers, by letting their customers see exactly what they are choosing before they commit.

Project Name: OPX-ZARATE
Overview A real time digital showroom built for a finishing materials retailer, allowing their clients to explore and compare floor and wall finishes inside a furnished architectural environment.
Industry Comercial : Digital Showroom
RELEASE DATE: April 2023

APPROACH

  • SPACE AS THE DECISION CONTEXT
The core bet was simple: a material visualised across an entire floor or wall, inside a furnished digital environment, sells better than a sample held in the hand. Every strategic decision followed from that premise.
  • IMMEDIACY AS A SALES TOOL
Comparison had to happen within a single conversation, at the customer’s pace, without rendering queues or prepared presentations.

IMPLEMENTATION

  • RESIDENTIAL PROTOTYPE
A furnished digital environment calibrated to the retailer’s customer profile.
  • CATALOGUE CURATION
A curated selection of 50 floor and wall materials from the full catalogue, chosen to represent the breadth of the offer.
  • INTERFACE DESIGN
Product name and manufacturer visible at every selection, keeping the experience commercially grounded.

OUTCOME

  • FASTER, MORE CONFIDENT DECISIONS
Customers stopped guessing and started composing. Independent floor and wall selection let them explore combinations in real time, turning an uncertain choice into a resolved one.
  • A DIFFERENT BUSINESS MODEL BECOMES POSSIBLE
The photorealistic quality did something the brief didn’t ask for: it made the experience compelling enough to rethink how Zarat e sells entirely. No large showroom floor required. No mock-ups to maintain or replace. The same tool can travel to industry trade fairs, power a network of low-investment pop-up stores, and scale commercial presence progressively without scaling infrastructure costs at the same rate.
